Recorded on a Steinway D at Granada's Auditorio Manuel de Falla, the collection reframes these pieces not as minor miniatures, but as intimate, diary-like fragments reflecting an inner life. Dedicated to Maria Floarea Pop, the release showcases the International Classical Music Awards-winning pianist’s personal exploration of memory, loss, and artistic fidelity, offering a profound statement on returning to iconic repertoire over a lifetime.

Josu de Solaun (b. 1981) is a celebrated Spanish-American classical pianist, composer, conductor, and pedagogue. Trained in Spain and at the Manhattan School of Music under mentors like Nina Svetlanova and Horacio Gutiérrez, he is the only Spanish pianist to win first prizes at both the José Iturbi and George Enescu international piano competitions. Honored as an Officer of the Order of Cultural Merit in Romania and a two-time International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) winner, De Solaun is acclaimed for his imaginative, dogmatic-free interpretations. Currently residing in Madrid as a professor at Musical Arts Madrid, he maintains an active global career as an orchestral soloist, composer, and recitalist.
