Polish composer Karol Szymanowski (1882–1937) stands as one of the most authentic artistic heirs to Frédéric Chopin (1810–1849), sharing a profound attraction to memory and deep emotional expression. Born in 1997, French pianist Gaspard Thomas is an acclaimed soloist and chamber musician, earning top honors at prestigious international events including the France-Amériques, Piano Campus, and Szymanowski competitions. Trained at the Paris Conservatory under Claire Désert and currently studying with Benedetto Lupo in Rome, Thomas has performed with major ensembles such as the Polish Radio Philharmonic and Appassionato Orchestra. A resident at the Singer-Polignac Foundation, he maintains a vibrant international career spanning premier European festivals, recitals in the United States, and frequent chamber collaborations alongside violinist Élise Bertrand. Demonstrating broad artistic versatility, he is also an active composer and accompanist.
