German musician Felix Koch (b. 1969) is a versatile conductor, cellist, festival director, and educator specializing in early music and historical performance. Formally trained in both conducting and Baroque cello across Frankfurt, Saarbrücken, and Mannheim, Koch earned an advanced music education degree and subsequently held teaching and administrative roles at the University of Mainz. A seasoned soloist and ensemble player, he co-founded the Neumeyer Consort in 2007 and the Gutenberg Soloists, leading both in acclaimed recordings for labels like Christophorus and Rondeau. His discography features landmark interpretations of works by J.S. Bach and Georg Philipp Telemann's Französischer Jahrgang cantata cycle.
