Elements, an anthology of previously unreleased original compositions by João Marcondes, translates the interrelationship of the four natural elements into a rich synesthetic musical expression. The album explores subtle narratives that intertw sound, temperature, color, and scent, mapping air to ideas, water to emotion, fire to conflict, and earth to reconciliation. Performers on the project include OSESP principal clarinetist Sérgio Burgani and cellist Joel Silva de Souza (UNESP professor and OSM member) for the first section, alongside OSESP musicians comprising the Topázio Quartet, violinists Leandro Dias and Anderson Farinelli, violist André Ferreira Rodrigues, and cellist Marialbi Trisolio, for the second.

João Marcondes is a distinguished composer and music educator whose career integrates composition, research, and pedagogy with exceptional commitment. His work combines technical rigor and aesthetic sensitivity, uniting tradition and contemporaneity through a deep command of musical language. Influenced by French and Russian composers and Brazilian modernist thought, Marcondes also holds advanced academic qualifications and is a leading specialist in Brazilian music education. He has published over seventy books, created nationally recognized courses, and taught internationally in 23 countries. As a composer of more than 700 works and a mentor to emerging artists, he plays a vital role in shaping contemporary Brazilian chamber music.
