Nuno Côrte-Real (b. 1971) is a celebrated Portuguese conductor and composer recognized for his expressive, genre-defying artistry. Trained in composition and orchestral conducting across Portugal and the Netherlands, he has earned prestigious accolades, including back-to-back Portuguese Society of Authors awards in 2018 and 2019, as well as multiple Opus Klassiek nominations. His dynamic catalog encompasses acclaimed operas like Banksters, diverse orchestral and chamber works, and extensive recordings for major labels such as Naxos and Odradek. Founder of the Ensemble Dacros and artistic director of the Temporada Darcos festival, Côrte-Real regularly conducts premier international orchestras and world-renowned soloists.
