Roxanna Panufnik’s Love Songs & Lullabies, a project four years in the making, presents an ambitious and richly varied collection across eleven tracks. The album showcases an exceptional roster of collaborators, featuring notable highlights such as soprano Mary Bevan and the Brodsky Quartet on the Warsaw Uprising-inspired "My Man," the emotionally charged "When I Wake Up" from her 2022 opera Dalia, and the genre-blending "Sleep, Jesus, Sleep," which unites Ukrainian soprano Inna Husieva, the Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir, and Afghan tabla player Sulaiman Haqpana. Incorporating piano, trombone, percussion, guitar, and electronica, Panufnik masterfully constructs a deeply evocative and diverse musical landscape.

British composer Roxanna Panufnik (b. 1968) is a highly versatile and internationally celebrated figure in contemporary classical music, writing across opera, ballet, choral, orchestral, and chamber genres. The daughter of conductor Sir Andrzej Panufnik, she is widely recognized for integrating world music and interfaith traditions to build cultural bridges. Major achievements include her violin concerto Abraham, the BBC Proms commission Songs of Darkness, Dreams of Light, and a custom work for the Coronation of King Charles III. Associate Composer with the London Mozart Players and Composer-in-Residence with VOCES8, her acclaimed repertoire is published by Peters Edition and widely recorded across major classical labels.
