OPUS 5, the fifth album from the female composers' collective Sonoras under the artistic direction of João Marcondes, features newly written works for wind trio that expand the instrument family's sonic boundaries. Marking the ensemble debut of composers Julia Caccia, Eymi Kinjo, and Lívia Trujilo alongside Shaya Lambert, Angie Lopez, Giovanna Conde, Andréia Zanella, and Natália Roschel, the project highlights experimental compositions tailored to the unique creative challenges of the instrumentation. Virtuosic performances by OSESP musicians Sérgio Burgani (clarinet) and Romeu Rabello (bassoon), alongside Alexandre Ficarelli (oboe professor at ECA-USP and LAMUC coordinator), bring the collective's inventive writing to life.
