Acclaimed American operatic tenor Stephen Costello (b. 1981) is a Philadelphia native and Academy of Vocal Arts graduate who rose to international prominence following his 2007 Metropolitan Opera debut at age 26. Winner of the prestigious 2009 Richard Tucker Award and top prizes from the George London and Licia Albanese-Puccini foundations, Costello has established himself as a leading voice on the global stage. His career spans principal roles at major institutions worldwide, including the Royal Opera House, Vienna State Opera, Paris Opéra, and Salzburg Festival, with celebrated portrayals in masterworks such as La bohème, Don Carlo, Tosca, and Carmen.
