Born from the artistic and personal collaboration between soprano Joyce Tripiciano and pianist Leandro Roverso, this album presents an intimate exploration of German Romantic Lied. The program begins with Robert Schumann’s complete song cycle Frauenliebe und Leben, Op. 42, reflecting on themes of love, loss, and memory, paired with his reflective solo piano piece, Arabeske, Op. 18. The release concludes with a selection of introspective lieder by Johannes Brahms, including Liebestreu and Von ewiger Liebe. Drawing on extensive international training and their roles with the Lyric Choir of the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, Tripiciano and Roverso deliver a nuanced, deeply expressive performance.

Soprano Joyce Tripiciano holds a degree in Singing and Lyrical Art from the University of São Paulo and completed her Master’s in Opera with top honors at the Hochschule für Musik Stuttgart. An award-winning vocalist, she refined her artistry under renowned masters such as Brigitte Fassbaender and Juan Pons, building a distinguished European career with performances at venues including the Wilhelma Theater, Staatstheater Darmstadt, and Staatstheater Wuppertal as a house ensemble member. Since 2019, she has served as a member of the Lyric Choir of the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, bringing international acclaim and technical mastery to her ensemble work.

Pianist, chamber musician, and vocal coach Leandro Roverso has established an internationally versatile career centered on the operatic and vocal repertoire. Following initial studies in Brazil, he advanced his training at the prestigious Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, leading to performances across Brazil, Europe, and Japan. His distinguished pedagogical and collaborative career includes a former professorship at the São Paulo Municipal School of Music and key contributions as vocal coach for André Mehmari's opera O Machete. Currently, Roverso serves as pianist for the Lyric Choir of the São Paulo Municipal Theatre while frequently collaborating with the São Pedro Theatre and the Minas Gerais Philharmonic.
