Reverie presents an intimate collaboration between pianist Harry Baker and trumpeter Tom Syson, gracefully bridging the worlds of jazz, classical tradition, and original composition. Centered on a shared quest for lyrical, reflective expression, the EP features original works alongside imaginative reimaginings of pieces by Maurice Ravel, John Scofield, and Cyrille Aimée, complemented by a guest appearance from cellist and vocalist Hadewych van Gent. Drawing from their extensive experience across elite classical and jazz venues, including the BBC Proms and Ronnie Scott's, Baker and Syson weave spontaneous improvisation and refined arrangements into a cohesive, genre-defying musical landscape.

Harry Baker is an award-winning British pianist, arranger, and educator celebrated for his extraordinary versatility across jazz and classical music. As a performer, he regularly collaborates with prominent artists such as Jamie Cullum, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, and Fatma Said, appearing at prestigious venues including Wigmore Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and international festivals like Lucerne and Verbier. A highly sought-after arranger published by ABRSM, Baker debuted at the 2024 BBC Proms with a custom program for the Fantasia Orchestra. Following his acclaimed debut EP, The Floating Boy, Baker continues to balance high-profile session work with teaching jazz and classical analysis at the University of Oxford.

Tom Syson is an accomplished UK-based trumpeter, composer, vocalist, and producer whose music seamlessly integrates traditional jazz with contemporary, cross-genre influences. Named a Vincent Bach Trumpet Artist, Syson gained widespread critical acclaim for his early ensemble albums and went on to perform at elite venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, the Barbican, and the BBC Proms. His recent solo output includes 'We’re Not Alone' (2024) and 'The Necessity of Being Present' (2025), which thoughtfully explore themes of mental health and mindfulness. Alongside a collaborative EP with Harry Baker, Syson maintains a vibrant career as a freelance sideman, producer, and commercial composer for broadcast television.
