Sakuyahime is the debut album from the duo Sakuyahime, featuring soprano Izumi Okuwaki and classical guitarist Tomomi Kohno. Named after the Japanese goddess Konohanasakuyahime, the unit embodies the spirit of resilient and graceful women. The album offers 15 beautifully rendered tracks spanning classical and ancient music from around the world, presented with a healing, contemplative sound. Unique to this release, the album includes two discs—each with a different post-recording mix—inviting listeners to explore subtle sonic differences and enjoy a richly textured musical experience from multiple perspectives.
