With Je ne t’aime pas, soprano Tineke Van Ingelgem and pianist Aaron Wajnberg present an evocative program exploring love, loss, and resilience through songs by Kurt Weill, Francis Poulenc, and Benjamin Britten. Weill’s collaborations with Bertolt Brecht, alongside his French and German repertoire, reveal his stylistic breadth, with rarities such as Es regnet (set to his own text inspired by Cocteau). Poulenc’s La dame de Monte-Carlo, a miniature one-woman opera, reflects his intimate link with Cocteau and his avant-garde lyricism. With expressive performances, the recital highlights three innovators’ profound artistry, offering a moving journey into the complexities of the human heart.

Belgian soprano Tineke Van Ingelgem (b. 1980) is acclaimed for her commanding stage presence, powerful voice, and nuanced acting, particularly in German and Eastern European opera. She has excelled in major lyric roles such as Rusalka, the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier, and Chrysothemis in Elektra, performing at leading houses including La Monnaie, La Scala, Opéra de Monte-Carlo, and Luzerner Theater. Initially trained in Germanic Languages, she later earned a master’s degree in singing from the Lemmens Institute. Founder and artistic manager of Opera Caramba!, she has brought opera to children through 600 performances. A 2020 KLARA “Breakthrough of the Year” winner, she became a Klara radio host in 2025.

Belgian-born pianist Aaron Wajnberg, acclaimed for his musical intelligence and poetic artistry, has established himself as a leading accompanist and chamber musician since his Carnegie Hall debut in 2011. He has collaborated with renowned singers such as Rolando Villazón, Sir Bryn Terfel, Roberto Alagna, Ian Bostridge, and Christoph Prégardien, and performed chamber music with Michael Barenboim, Artiom Shishkov, and ensembles including Quatuor Enesco and Quatuor Danel. Trained under Leonid Margarius and Victor Makarov, both pupils of Regina Horowitz, he later specialized in Lied with Lucienne Van Deyck, Jozef De Beenhouwer, Helmut Deutsch, and Roger Vignoles, refining his expertise in vocal collaboration.
