Swedish clarinettist and conductor Martin Fröst releases his new album B.A.C.H. on October 24, 2025 with Sony Classical, celebrating the enduring inspiration of J.S. Bach. Although Bach never wrote for clarinet, Fröst has long adapted his music, developing the concept “Beyond All Clarinet History,” now renewed through fresh arrangements for clarinet and ensemble including bass, cello, viola, and theorbo. Recorded in a restored wooden chapel he owns in rural Sweden, the project features close collaborators and guest pianist Benny Andersson. Created during a difficult period coping with Ménière’s disease, the album reflects resilience, creativity, and Fröst’s deep lifelong connection to Bach.
