In autumn 1725, as France celebrated the marriage of Louis XV and Marie Leszczynska, Vivaldi was commissioned by the French ambassador in Venice to compose a serenata honoring the young couple. He created a brilliant work built around two allegorical figures: Imeneo, god of marriage, and Gloria, symbol of French majesty. Their voices alternate, respond, and display graceful virtuosity before uniting in a radiant final duet. Logan Lopez Gonzalez and Nicolo Balducci bring expressive depth to these roles, highlighting the piece’s diplomatic elegance and musical brilliance. Though brief, it remains a striking gem within Vivaldi’s vast output.

Stefan Plewniak, born in 1981, is a Polish conductor and violinist, currently Principal Conductor of the Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal de Versailles and former Music Director of the Warsaw Chamber Opera. He founded the ensembles Il Giardino d’Amore, Cappella dell’Ospedale della Pietà Venezia, and the FeelHarmony Symphony Orchestra. Plewniak has led productions of Rameau, Gluck, Mozart, and Bizet, and toured internationally, including Spain with Jakub Józef Orliński. He has appeared with the Kraków and Łódź Philharmonics and conducted televised concerts, collaborating with artists such as MIKA, Adele Charvet, and Natalia Kawalek. His work spans opera, ballet, and symphonic repertoire.
