Anna Fedorova’s new album, Liberté, is a celebration of the musical dialogue between France and America, with jazz as a central influence. Recorded with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León under Pablo González, the album features Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue as its centerpiece. Complementing these are solo miniatures, including works by Germaine Tailleferre, Andrew Blickenderfer, and Myroslav Skoryk, as well as two French chansons. Liberté blends classical virtuosity with jazz rhythms, creating a vibrant program that honors freedom, cross-cultural exchange, and the shared spirit of French and American musical traditions.
Anna Fedorova, born in 1990 in Kyiv, trained at the Lysenko School of Music and the Accademia Pianistica in Imola, later earning a Master’s degree and Artist Diploma at London’s Royal College of Music under Norma Fisher. Mentored by luminaries including Alfred Brendel and Sir András Schiff, she co-founded the Davidsbündler Music Academy in The Hague. Fedorova performs internationally at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw, and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and has released multiple solo and chamber albums, including all Rachmaninoff piano concertos. Praised for her sensitivity and technical mastery, she has performed with top orchestras worldwide and toured with the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra, garnering critical acclaim from the New York Times and Menahem Pressler.
