Nearly four decades after the event, Melodiya has released a previously unreleased recording of a 1986 concert from the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. The album features Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons performed by violinist Vladimir Spivakov and the Moscow Virtuosi, offering a refined yet energetic interpretation marked by elegant phrasing, strong ensemble cohesion, and precise intonation. Due to LP time limits, the release is complemented by a CD presenting the full concert, including Vivaldi’s Gloria with the Orfeón Donostiarra choir and renowned soloists Makvala Kasrashvili and Tamara Sinyavskaya. Issued in 2025, the recordings were remastered from original digital tapes by sound engineer Maxim Pilipov.
