Born in 1985 in La Rochelle, Frédéric Deschamps is a French organist who developed an early passion for classical music and the organ, beginning his studies at age seven. A decisive influence came at fifteen through his encounter with Baroque specialist Francis Chapelet, which deepened his engagement with European organ repertoire from the 16th to the 18th centuries. While also interpreting Romantic and symphonic works, Deschamps is particularly known for his affinity with Baroque music and period instruments. He performs widely in France and internationally, frequently presenting his own transcriptions of orchestral works, and is also recognized for his skill in organ improvisation. In 2013, he was appointed titular organist of the historic organ of Albi Cathedral.
