This programme celebrates the brilliance and expressive power of two prestigious Renaissance and Baroque instruments: the silver trombone and the claviorganum. Duo GlossArte offer a vivid journey around the Mediterranean, highlighting virtuosity, colour, and emotional depth. The bright, lyrical sound of the historical trombone, played by Juan Gonzalez Martinez, is matched by the imaginative artistry of organ and harpsichord specialist Lea Suter. Works by Salaverde, Frescobaldi, Rossi, and Rognoni trace stylistic paths from Venice to Seville, blending dance rhythms, chromatic fantasy, and refined ornamentation to reveal the elegance and opulence of this rich musical heritage.

Juan González Martínez is one of the most versatile trombonists of the younger generation specializing in historically informed performance. Praised for his tonal sensitivity, technical brilliance, and wide expressive range, he combines virtuosity with a deep understanding of historical style. Trained initially in modern trombone in Spain, he specialized in Baroque trombone through advanced studies in Bremen and The Hague. A prizewinner of the H.I.F. Biber Competition and finalist of the RICA Competition, he is supported by major European funding programs. He performs regularly with leading international ensembles and pursues innovative projects as a soloist, recording artist, and ensemble founder.

Lea Suter is a Swiss-born organist, harpsichordist, and organ builder specializing in historical keyboard music, with a particular focus on J. S. Bach. After early training as an organ builder and restoring historic organs in Transylvania, she pursued degrees in church music and historical keyboards, studying with leading specialists. She performs internationally as a soloist, church organist, and artistic director, and teaches at major academies and conservatories. Recognized as an authority on historical temperaments, she combines performance, research, and instrument expertise. Suter is active in several ensembles and regularly develops projects centered on historically informed sound worlds.
