_____________________

Guitarist Élodie Brzustowski brings renewed attention to overlooked works of French Romanticism through a program of biblical nocturnes and romantic fantasies. Performing on three historical guitars by Klimits (1824), Coffe-Goguette (1830), and Lacote (1841), she explores a rare repertoire that blends virtuosity with poetic expression. Works by Zani de Ferranti, Victor Magnien, and Napoléon Coste highlight the romantic guitar’s intimate timbre, lyrical imagination, and spiritual depth. This refined and expressive journey into the 19th century presents each instrument as a vivid representative of its time, animated by Brzustowski’s sensitive and inspired interpretation.

Élodie Brzustowski is a graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, holding a Master’s degree in classical guitar (2024) and a Master’s degree in lute, theorbo, and basso continuo (2025). She also holds a State Diploma in guitar and lute and has taught lute and sight-reading at the CRR de Rueil-Malmaison since 2021. An active soloist, chamber musician, and continuo player, she performs with leading ensembles across Europe. A founding member of La Mandorle, she tours internationally and engages in interdisciplinary projects combining music, theatre, and cinema.
