Gerard Cousins (born 1974) is a Welsh guitarist, composer, and arranger, internationally recognized for his innovative approach to the classical guitar. Educated at the University of Leeds and the Enschede Conservatorium, he has performed widely across Europe, South America, and the Middle East, and released seven albums spanning traditional Spanish repertoire, original works, and reimagined Welsh music. Cousins is noted for expanding the expressive possibilities of the guitar through inventive arrangements and stylistic crossovers, with recordings reaching millions of listeners worldwide. His broadcasts and appearances include BBC Radio Wales, France Musique, and a finalist appearance on Sky Arts’ Guitar Star in 2015.
