Five-time Emmy-winning composer Jeff Beal presents New York Études, Vol. II, a collection of intimate solo piano works shaped by his experience living with Multiple Sclerosis. Created as part of his effort to counter the condition’s physical and cognitive effects, the études draw on the concept of neuroplasticity, reflecting his commitment to resilience and creativity. Each piece evokes transient emotional and physical states, from fatigue to perseverance. Released during MS Awareness Month, the recording conveys both Beal’s personal journey and a broader message of hope, endurance, and finding meaning amid adversity.
