Maria Perrotta (b. 1974, Cosenza) is an accomplished Italian pianist recognized for her expressive and analytical interpretations. She graduated with distinction from the Milan Conservatoire, later refining her studies in Paris and at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome under Sergio Perticaroli. A prizewinner in several international competitions, she gained notable recognition at the J.S. Bach International Piano Competition Saarbrücken. A prodigy, she debuted at age eleven performing Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1. Perrotta has performed widely across Europe, collaborated with major orchestras, and earned critical acclaim for her recordings, particularly of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Goldberg Variations. Currently based in Paris, she maintains an active international career.
