Roberto Fabbriciani (born 1949 in Arezzo) is a pioneering Italian flutist and composer renowned for expanding the technical and expressive possibilities of the flute through innovative research. Over his career, he has collaborated with leading contemporary composers, many of whom dedicated works to him, and maintained a particularly significant partnership with Luigi Nono in experimental electronic music. As a soloist, he has performed with major conductors and prestigious orchestras worldwide, appearing in renowned venues and international festivals. In addition to an extensive discography, Fabbriciani is also an educator and author, with published compositions and pedagogical works widely used in contemporary music education.
