The programme brings together works from diverse musical traditions—Baroque, Classical, Nordic, Slavic, French, and contemporary—unified by a shared expressive core that reflects vitality, contrast, and renewal. Inspired by Jean Sibelius’s idea of an underlying harmony within apparent dissonance, the selection explores the interplay between tension and release, stillness and motion, and fragmentation and restoration. Pieces by composers including Sibelius, Leoš Janáček, Claude Debussy, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Domenico Scarlatti, and Missy Mazzoli trace emotional and sonic landscapes ranging from introspection to luminous clarity. Together, the works suggest a broader meditation on nature, resilience, and the capacity for renewal through musical expression.
