Jan Lisiecki returns to the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with a new recording marking the 270th anniversary of the composer’s birth, featuring Piano Concertos Nos. 9 and 22 in E-flat major. Building on his earlier Mozart-focused debut for Deutsche Grammophon, Lisiecki presents these works as complementary masterpieces distinguished by elegance, emotional depth, and structural clarity. He is joined by conductor Manfred Honeck and the Bamberger Symphoniker, whose collaborative interpretation emphasizes refinement, phrasing, and expressive nuance. The project reflects Lisiecki’s enduring artistic affinity for Mozart’s music, highlighting its blend of intellectual rigor, purity, and lyrical beauty.

Jan Lisiecki is a Canadian classical pianist known for his refined technique and interpretive maturity beyond his years. Born in 1995, he performs extensively worldwide, collaborating with leading conductors and major orchestras such as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and London Symphony Orchestra. Signed exclusively to Deutsche Grammophon since age fifteen, he has released acclaimed recordings including Beethoven concertos, Chopin nocturnes, and other solo repertoire, earning awards such as the JUNO and ECHO Klassik. A recipient of the Gramophone Young Artist Award and the Leonard Bernstein Award, Lisiecki is also active as a recitalist, chamber musician, and cultural ambassador for UNICEF Canada.
