With Tangos aumentados, Fleurs Noires reimagines tango as a contemporary, evolving art form that blends Argentine tradition with modern composition, electronic music, and immersive performance practices. Rather than treating tango as a fixed heritage genre, the project presents it as a dynamic space for experimentation, emotional tension, and creative freedom. The result is a stylistically hybrid work that expands the expressive boundaries of tango while maintaining its cultural roots, positioning it as a living and continually transforming musical language.

Fleurs Noires is a 10-piece ensemble composed of musicians from Argentina and France, presenting a contemporary and vigorous interpretation of tango that distinguishes itself from both traditional and electro-tango styles. Drawing on backgrounds in classical and popular music, the group fuses diverse influences into a sound marked by sensuality, energy, and stylistic hybridity. Their work revisits the historic Paris–Buenos Aires cultural connection while challenging the traditionally male-dominated character of tango performance. Through this perspective, they position tango as a renewed, expressive, and inclusive art form that blends elegance, freshness, and bold artistic experimentation.
