Massimiliano Génot (born 1968 in Pinerolo) is an Italian pianist, composer, and scholar recognized for his virtuosity and dedication to rediscovering neglected repertoire. A prodigy, he graduated at sixteen from the Turin Conservatory and further refined his artistry with distinguished mentors including Aldo Ciccolini and Lazar Berman. Prizewinner at major competitions such as the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition, he has performed internationally with leading orchestras and at prominent venues. Génot is also active in musicological research, historic piano performance, and recording projects, particularly focused on 19th-century Italian composers, alongside his teaching in Turin.
