The Vigo 430 Orchestra, founded in 2005 and supported by the Vigo City Council since 2014, is an independent professional ensemble dedicated to enriching the cultural life of Vigo. Comprised largely of leading young Galician musicians alongside distinguished international performers, the orchestra emphasizes both local talent and global collaboration. Its mission includes expanding access to classical music by engaging new audiences through innovative programming and interdisciplinary formats. A regular collaborator with the Friends of the Vigo Opera Association and affiliated with the Spanish Association of Symphony Orchestras, the orchestra has received notable recognition, including the Martín Códax Music Award and the 2024 Premios da Crítica Galega.
