_____________________
HIMARI considers Red Violin a profoundly significant work, having chosen to perform it as an encore during her debut with the Berlin Philharmonic. Although the piece showcases remarkable virtuosity, it also highlights the violin’s emotional depth, capturing its melancholy character and the delicate nuances of its tonal color. Through this performance, HIMARI aims to convey the instrument’s expressive range and artistic beauty, offering audiences an opportunity to experience both technical brilliance and refined musical sensitivity.
HIMARI, born in Japan in 2011, is widely regarded as a once-in-a-generation violin talent, recognized for her exceptional technique and emotionally rich interpretations. She began studying violin at age three and, by six, was already performing with professional orchestras. In 2022, she became the youngest student admitted to the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, where she studies under renowned violinist and teacher Ida Kavafian. HIMARI has earned top prizes at major international competitions and has appeared with leading orchestras worldwide, including the Berlin Philharmonic and Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In 2025, she signed an exclusive contract with Decca Classics and released her debut EP, HIMARI.
