Costantino Mastroprimiano is an Italian fortepianist and musicologist specializing in 18th- and 19th-century keyboard repertoire. Born in 1964, he studied piano at the Conservatorio di Musica Foggia and chamber music at the Accademia Chigiana. His artistic focus includes composers such as Muzio Clementi, Jan Ladislav Dussek, and Johann Nepomuk Hummel, among others. As a performer, he has appeared widely across Europe and is known for his award-winning 18-CD recording of Clementi’s complete sonatas. In addition to his concert career, he teaches historic performance practice and chamber music at the Conservatorio di Musica Francesco Morlacchi and contributes as curator and editor of Clementi’s complete works for Urtext publication.
