Clarinetist Joshua Anderson is a prominent performer, educator, and contemporary music advocate serving as Associate Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno, and Principal Clarinet of the Reno Philharmonic. An alumnus of top institutions including the University of Michigan, Yale, and Peabody, Anderson has performed globally under legendary conductors at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall. He has commissioned and premiered over 100 new works and fosters cross-cultural exchange as Director of Programming for the Four Corners Ensemble. Also an accomplished author and international festival faculty member, his pedagogical contributions include two acclaimed instructional publications.
Pianist and composer James Winn is an accomplished contemporary music specialist who made his professional debut with the Denver Symphony at age thirteen. An alumnus of the New England Conservatory of Music and the University of Michigan, where he earned a Doctor of Musical Arts, Winn joined the faculty at the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1997. His prolific performance career spans extensive recordings across North America, Europe, and Japan, alongside dozens of world premieres. Winn regularly collaborates with leading ensembles, including the Argenta Quartet and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and his own compositions are frequently featured at major American new music festivals.
