Featuring harpist Rachel Talitman and Ensemble Harpeggia, this recording highlights two classical-romantic concertos for harp and orchestra. The album includes a gracious, charming concerto by Ernst Eichner (1740–1777), a highly respected figure in his era whose works remain rarely performed today. Additionally, it presents the world premiere recording of the Grand Concerto for Harp and Orchestra (ca. 1800) by Christian Gottlieb Kleeberg (1766–1811), a composer largely unknown to modern audiences. Reminiscent of Beethoven’s monumental piano concertos, Kleeberg’s masterwork offers a captivating addition to the harp repertoire, bringing forgotten late-18th and early-19th-century gems back to life.

Renowned harpist Rachel Talitman (b. 1951) began her musical studies at the Tel Aviv University Academy of Music before continuing at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under Susanna Mildonian, earning a higher diploma with distinction and further honing her expertise in Paris with Pierre Jamet. Formerly a professor at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, she founded the Harpeggio Ensemble to premiere new repertoire for the harp. In 2004, Talitman established the independent label Harp & Co to honor the Belgian harp tradition. Featuring a diverse, original discography spanning baroque to contemporary concertos, chamber works, and recitals, her label remains dedicated to expanding and showcasing the instrument's rich artistic versatility.
