Marking the conclusion of his final season as Music & Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Gustavo Dudamel presents Schumann Complete Symphonies, released on the Platoon label. Capturing an iconic two-decade partnership, this recording offers a fresh interpretation of Schumann’s four symphonies—ranging from the exuberance of the "Spring" Symphony to the expansive "Rhenish." The release highlights the composer's bold thematic invention and evolving architectural forms, while reflecting the expressive freedom of the orchestra. Though transitioning to the role of Music & Artistic Director Laureate, Dudamel will maintain a long-term artistic relationship with the ensemble and Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA).
