Acclaimed pianist Bruce Liu, who rose to international fame after winning the 2021 International Chopin Piano Competition, presents Lunaris, a deeply personal album inspired by the moon's luminous glow and nocturnal introspection. Renowned for his "elf-like virtuosity" (Le Monde) and "elegance and lightness of touch" (The Guardian), Liu crafts an immersive soundscape where silence, sound, and imagination collide. The carefully curated program guides listeners on a journey through shifting states of consciousness, seamlessly balancing delicate, quiet contemplation with flashes of dreamlike intensity and mysterious beauty.

Bruce Liu (b. 1997), winner of the 2021 International Chopin Piano Competition, is acclaimed for his artistry and versatility. A Deutsche Grammophon exclusive artist, he received the 2024 Opus Klassik “Young Talent of the Year” award for his album Waves, following international acclaim for his Chopin Competition recordings. In the 2024/25 season he debuts with major orchestras including the Boston Symphony, Danish National Symphony, WDR Köln, and Royal Philharmonic, and tours with the London Symphony, Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, and Rotterdam Philharmonic. He also performs at Carnegie Hall, Wiener Musikverein, and leading festivals. Born in Paris, raised in Montréal, Liu studied with Richard Raymond and Dang Thai Son.
