Born in Barcelona, Spanish and Catalan composer Federico Mompou (1893–1987) studied in his hometown and in Paris, where he was deeply influenced by French Impressionism, Gabriel Fauré, and Erik Satie. Known for his introverted nature, he shunned a public performance career to focus on composition. Acclaimed as Claude Debussy’s spiritual successor by contemporary critics, Mompou specialized in intimate, delicate miniatures featuring ostinatos, bell imitations, and meditative textures, most famously showcased in his masterpiece Música Callada. Despite periods of hardship during world conflicts and the Spanish Civil War, he returned to Catalonia, ultimately living a quiet life until his death.

Born in Lanzarote in 1975, composer, pianist, and educator Samuel Aguilar holds advanced degrees in music from the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Higher Conservatory and a degree in English Philology. Widely recognized for his versatile output, he has created original music for films, theater, dance, public spaces, and sound installations, collaborating with prominent artists like Brian Eno and Stephan Micus. Aguilar has taught at prestigious conservatories, authored numerous albums including Música para los Jameos del Agua and Tierra de Hielo, and received prominent commissions. His internationally acclaimed works have been premiered and performed across more than thirty countries worldwide.

Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, pianist Laura Gordo earned top honors at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Higher Conservatory of Music before completing her Master of Piano Performance at Budapest's prestigious Liszt Ferenc Academy. Guided by master artists like András Schiff and Maria João Pires, she has established a distinguished career as both a soloist and chamber musician, performing at major venues across Hungary, the UK, and Spain. Since 2011, she has served as a piano accompanist professor in Tenerife, active in musical education while regularly concertizing, most notably as part of an acclaimed piano duo with Esther Ropón.
