John Williams (born 1932) is an acclaimed American composer and conductor whose distinguished seven-decade career has shaped the soundscape of cinematic history. Widely celebrated for his iconic collaborations with directors Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, Williams has scored legendary films including Star Wars, Jaws, E.T., Jurassic Park, and Harry Potter. The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra is a Czech-based ensemble originating in 1947 as the Film Symphony Orchestra for Barrandov Film Studios. Renamed in 1992 following the Velvet Revolution, it comprises musicians from leading national institutions and primarily performs at the opera house. Renowned for versatility, the orchestra records over 250 sessions annually across film, television, and video games, collaborating with major studios and composers.
