Hungaroton presents Tomasi, Pauer, Bloch, Szentpáli, Böhme: Winners of Kodály Competition Debrecen – Brass 2025, a new release showcasing emerging classical talent from the prestigious Zoltán Kodály International Music Competition. Founded in 2022 by the Kodály Philharmonia Debrecen and Jeunesses Musicales Hungary, the competition stands as a prominent global platform for young musicians. The album highlights prize-winning performances by trumpeters Sandro Hirsch and Vanyó Karsa, French hornist Brendan Connellan, and trombonist Mustafa Khalilov. Accompanied by pianist Marcell Szabó and the Kodály Philharmonic Debrecen under conductor Imre Kollár, this digital release celebrates youthful virtuosity, features Roland Szentpáli’s Kodály-inspired work Cover, and marks a compelling showcase of the next generation of brass artistry.
