Acclaimed Hungarian pianist Gábor Farkas (b. 1981), Head of the Keyboard Department and Doctoral School at the Liszt Academy of Music, is a internationally celebrated Steinway Artist known for his masterful interpretations and extensive global career. Mentored by musical luminaries like Zoltán Kocsis and Tamás Vásáry, Farkas won the 2009 International Liszt Piano Competition and the 2015 New York Concert Artists Audition, leading to his Carnegie Hall debut. Recipient of Hungary’s prestigious Franz Liszt Award, he has performed in major worldwide venues alongside leading conductors like Charles Dutoit and Ádám Fischer.
