Japanese pianist and conductor Kyohei Sorita gained international renown after winning the silver medal at the 2021 International Chopin Piano Competition. A versatile artist and entrepreneur, he is the founder of the Japan National Orchestra and the NOVA record label, as well as the creator of the music platform "Solistiade." Sorita made history as the first Japanese artist to appear as both soloist and conductor at the Salzburg Festival. A former student of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and Chopin University of Music, he regularly collaborates with major world orchestras, including the Munich Philharmonic and the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra.
