Berlin-based pianist, composer, producer, and mastering engineer Arnold Kasar has spent three decades bridging ambient, electronic, and contemporary classical genres. Emerging from Berlin’s post-club scene with releases on Sonar Kollektiv and collaborations with Micatone, Nylon, and Friedrich Liechtenstein, Kasar established a reputation for cross-genre innovation, further solidified by his 2017 Deutsche Grammophon release, Einfluss, alongside Hans-Joachim Roedelius. His new solo album, Spring Songs, expands upon the quiet architecture of his 2019 piece "Spring Song" across eight interconnected compositions. Blending acoustic piano with subtle electronic contours, Kasar crafts a spatial, meditative soundscape that masterfully balances structure, silence, and analogue warmth.
