Music for a Film presents a deeply atmospheric collection of compositions originally written by Mattia Vlad Morleo for unproduced cinematic projects. Combining delicate piano textures with evocative cinematic depth, these pieces exist independently of their original scripts while retaining a poignant sense of narrative memory. Liberated from visual media, the music encourages listeners to envision their own personal, imaginary worlds through intimate and nostalgic melodies. Ultimately, the album serves as a compelling exploration of unfinished stories and the resonant emotional echoes they leave behind, offering a rich and reflective auditory experience.
Born in Fasano, Italy, in 2000, composer and pianist Mattia Vlad Morleo graduated from the "N. Piccinni" Conservatory in Bari at age 21. Since launching his recording career in 2016, Morleo has amassed an impressive array of film, documentary, and commercial scoring credits, including award-winning projects like Alessandro Piva's Santa Subito and a acclaimed Holocaust documentary trilogy for Rai Storia. Honored with the prestigious Nino Rota Award in 2022, he has collaborated with major international brands like Vogue Germany and performed across Europe at iconic venues such as Paris's Carrousel du Louvre and Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie.
