German musician Lars Vogt (1970–2022) was a world-renowned pianist, conductor, and educator whose career spanned over three decades. Emerging after winning second prize at the 1990 Leeds International Piano Competition, Vogt built a versatile repertoire ranging from Bach to contemporary premieres. He served as Music Director of the Orchestre de chambre de Paris and Royal Northern Sinfonia, performed with leading global orchestras under top conductors, and was the Berliner Philharmoniker's first Pianist in Residence. Vogt founded the Spannungen Chamber Music Festival, created the "Rhapsody in School" initiative, held a professorship at the Hannover Conservatory, and left behind an extensive, critically acclaimed discography.
