Remastered by PARMA Recordings to mark the 135th anniversary of the composer’s birth, this special edition captures two distinct stylistic landscapes: the rhythmic, primitive energy of the "Scythian" works (Concertos No. 1, 3, and 5) and the expansive, psychologically complex "Steppe" compositions (Concertos No. 2 and 4). Renowned Brazilian-born pianist, conductor, and composer Eliane Rodrigues began her career as a child prodigy, composing at age 3 and winning national competitions by age 6. Educated by esteemed mentors, she gained international acclaim through top honors at the Van Cliburn Competition and the 1983 Queen Elisabeth Competition, where her performance of Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto was later voted the most memorable moment in the competition's history. Rodrigues served for two decades as the artistic heart of Switzerland's Festival Música Romântica, holds a long-standing professorship at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, and continues to captivate global audiences through high-profile recitals and innovative digital broadcasts.
