On October 16, 2026, cellist Anouchka Hack and pianist Katharina Hack released their third duo album, DNA, on Berlin Classics, offering a deeply human response to an era increasingly dominated by algorithmic music. Grounded in a shared childhood and three decades of musical collaboration, the album explores the fundamental nature of artistic creation through the lens of sisterhood, familial heritage, and creative partnership. Rather than merely opposing artificiality, DNA celebrates the authentic space where art naturally emerges, between two musicians, their instruments, and generations of shared living history, to illuminate the profound connections that define true artistic expression.

Raised in a deeply musical household by a cellist father and pianist mother, sisters Anouchka and Katharina Hack transformed their immersive upbringing into an acclaimed performing career. Choosing the cello and piano respectively, the duo cultivated a warm, highly intuitive "duo sound" built on artistic equality and decades of shared experience. Their joint artistry gained immediate critical recognition with their 2020 debut album, Shostakovich Sonatas, which earned nominations for both the German Record Critics’ Award and the Opus Klassik. Together, they continue to showcase a seamless chamber partnership grounded in a life lived through music.
