MOZART X JAZZ is a new collaborative album by the Áron Tálas Trio and the Danubia Orchestra under conductor Máté Hámori. It reimagines Mozart’s final piano concerto, K. 595, as a dynamic conversation between Classical and Jazz. Across its movements, original passages alternate with bold jazz reinterpretations, creating an inventive, genre-crossing dialogue. From the graceful Allegro to the tender Larghetto and the lively finale, the album delivers a 55-minute exploration of musical freedom, playfulness, and creativity, offering a fresh and compelling take on one of Mozart’s most cherished works.

Áron Tálas (born October 8, 1990, in Tiszafüred) is a Hungarian jazz pianist, drummer, composer, and educator. He leads the Áron Tálas Trio and Flight Modus while also performing with ensembles led by Mihály Borbély, Zoltán Lantos, Kristóf Bacsó, and Péter Szendőfi. A dedicated teacher, he instructs jazz orchestra at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and jazz piano at the Bartók Béla Secondary School of Music, and previously taught jazz drums at Kodolányi János University. Tálas has collaborated with artists such as Lionel Loueke, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Lew Tabackin, and many prominent Hungarian musicians, and contributes regularly to major orchestras and touring projects.
