Timeless traces the evolution of writing for two violins from the Baroque period to the 20th century, illustrating three centuries of stylistic, expressive, and technical change. Baroque composers such as Leclair and Geminiani emphasize elegance, balance, and refined ornamentation through virtuoso dialogue. Classical-era figures Pleyel and Viotti introduce greater symmetry, melodic clarity, and lightness. Romanticism, represented by de Bériot, deepens emotional expression through heightened virtuosity and melodic freedom. In the 20th century, Bartók expands the genre with complex rhythms, dissonance, innovative timbres, and folk influences. Together, these composers progressively enrich the violin duo repertoire.

I Musici Gemelli is a violin duo formed by twins Francesco Pio Bertozzi and Giuseppe Pio Bertozzi (born September 1, 2000). Both graduated with top honors from the Umberto Giordano Conservatory and completed a second Master’s degree in Chamber Music at the Parma Conservatory, refining their duo training with renowned international artists. Prizewinners in numerous national and international competitions, they have performed in leading Italian theatres and major festivals across Europe. Active in musicological research, their work has been featured on Rai Radio 3. Their award-winning recordings include historically significant projects, notably Viotti’s complete Op. 29 and a unique album on the life of Christ.
