Jurgis Karnavičius (b. 1957, Vilnius) is a Lithuanian pianist from a distinguished musical family, including a composer grandfather and a pianist father who served as rector of the Lithuanian Academy of Music. He graduated from the Academy in 1980 and continued his studies at the Moscow Conservatory. An accomplished soloist, Karnavičius has performed extensively with orchestras and in over a hundred solo recitals, while also collaborating with chamber ensembles such as the M. K. Čiurlionis String Quartet. He frequently performs with his wife, opera singer Sigutė Stonytė, and became a professor at the Lithuanian Academy of Music in 2004.
