The Falla Guitar Trio, founded by guitarists Terry Graves, Ian Krouse, and Kenton Youngstrom, emerged in the late 1970s as a pioneering ensemble dedicated to expanding the guitar trio repertoire through original transcriptions, arrangements, and compositions. Named after composer Manuel de Falla, the group gained acclaim for its richly integrated sound and nationwide tours under Columbia Artists Management. Their 1984 debut album, Virtuoso Music for Three Guitars, received major critical recognition, including Stereo Review Magazine’s “Record of the Year” award. Despite Ian Krouse’s departure due to focal dystonia, the ensemble continued performing and recording. In 2018, the original tapes were digitally restored and remastered, reintroducing this influential recording to new audiences through Urtext Digital Classics.

High Resolution 24-bit / 192 kHz
