Japanese pianist Tomoaki Yoshida, educated at the Tokyo University of the Arts and the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique, is a laureate of the Maria Callas and Sydney International Piano Competitions and winner of the 79th Japan Music Competition. Recorded in March 2026 at Blue-T Records Studio on a New York Steinway Model A3, his long-awaited release of J. S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations BWV 988 captures the thirty variations with rich resonance and nuance. Representing a lifelong ambition and personal milestone, Yoshida’s account balances technical precision with deep expressive maturity, marking a definitive pinnacle in his recording career.
