Violinist Shiqi Luo has released her debut solo album, LE PAPILLON, worldwide via Skillman Records across major streaming platforms. Accompanied by pianist Baoqi Zhu and cellist Qianci Liu, Luo presents a deeply personal collection blending intimate Romantic miniatures with virtuosic works that reflect her artistic journey. The album's centerpiece, an original title track co-composed with Raymond Shing Yau Yang, uses the imagery of a transforming butterfly as a metaphor for resilience, self-discovery, and growth. Supported by the Sunway Music Foundation, this release highlights a shared commitment to contemporary classical music, empowering emerging artists, and fostering creative collaboration globally.
Shiqi Luo is an international solo violinist, chamber musician, and founder of the Sunway Music Foundation. Celebrated for her expressive tone and innovative narrative performances at venues like Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, she bridges classical tradition with interdisciplinary storytelling. Trained at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music under Professor Lina Yu and the Manhattan School of Music under Professor Lucia Robert, her artistry has earned praise from Tokyo String Quartet founder Kioichiro Harada. Following her 2025 Notes • Echo • Dream tour, Luo’s debut album and original composition, Le Papillon, release in summer 2026, showcasing her evolving voice as a performer, composer, and arts advocate.
